Un petit passage dans le Luberon / Little stop in the Luberon area
En juillet, j'ai fait un petit passage dans le Lubeon. J'ai découvert une région de France que je connaissais peu, et qui mérite le détour.
Il y fait une chaleur sèche que j'aime bien, et, en même temps, c'est plutôt vert et vivifiant.
En pleine saison touristique, ce coin semble rester assez paisible.
J'ai bien aimé ce que j'ai vu, entre charmants petits villages (Bonnieux, Ménerbes, Lourmarin...), abbayes perdues au milieu de nulle part, de nombreuses vignes, et la nature, bien sûr !
Ci-dessous, voici l'Abbaye de Silvacane.
In July, I've spent a few days in Luberon, a nice area located in the South East of France.
I didn't know much about that place, and I'm happy to have been there, because it is worth to go !
It's quite hot, but, at the same time, it's green and invigorating.
Although we were there in the middle of the turistic season, Luberon seams to remain quiet and peaceful.
I've appreciated what I visited : lovely villages (Bonnieux, Ménerbes, Lourmarin...), abbeys hidden in the middle of nowhere, numerous vineyards, and of course, Nature, you know that I like it.

Je n'ai malheureusement pas vu grand chose du Luberon, mais ce qui est sûr, c'est que ce que j'y ai découvert me donne envie d'y retourner, pour explorer cette zone plus en détails !
I did not have enough time to visit Luberon, but the few places I've seen there makes me feel like going back again, sooner or later, so that I explore in details this area !
La calanque de Sormiou
Pour le plaisir, quelques photographies de la Calanque de Sormiou, prises à la fin du mois de mai. Celle-ci est située entre Marseille et Cassis.

Nathalie squatte. / Nathalie's coming !
Fin juin, Nathalie est venue squatter me rendre visite à Aubagne, pour un week-end nature-randonnée-détente.
Le premier jour, nous sommes allées à la calanque d'En-Vau ; le second, aux îles du Frioul.
Récit d'une épopée (rien que ça).
Premier jour : calanque d'En-Vau.
Nathalie s'est attelée à la préparation des sandwichs. C'est en la voyant faire qu'une question m'est venue en tête : Nathalie serait-elle fan de Maïté ? Car dans le genre "préparation bourrine", elle assure ! On dirait moi.
At the end of June, Nathalie came to visit me in my new home in the South. We had a "nature-hiking-relaxation" week-end.
The first day, we went to the place called "calanque d'En-Vau" ; the second day, to the Frioul islands.
Below is our saga's story.
First day : "calanque d'En-Vau".
Nathalie proposed her for preparing our sandwiches. However, when I looked at the way she prepared them, I wondered if it was a good idea to accept her offer... Too late !

Ensuite, nous sommes parties nous promener, direction la calanque d'En-Vau.
Then, we started to walk, the "Calanque d'En-Vau" as our final objective.

Cette calanque est charmante, bien qu'il y avait pas mal de monde. Ici, nous avons dégusté les fameux sandwichs préparés par Nathalie avant de partir. Quel repas de rêve !
The place was very nice. The only bad point that there were too many people. Here, we savoured our wonderful sandwiches. Wow ! This was such a great meal !

Un homme sexy gringalet blanc est venu s'installer non loin de nous, histoire d'ajouter un petit plus au beau paysage qui s'offrait à notre vue...
A sexy guy pale thin man just chose to eat just next to us, in order to add even more to the beautiful landscape we couldn't stop admiring.

Deuxième jour : îles du Frioul.
Puis, le lendemain, nous sommes allées aux Îles du Frioul. J’ai été surprise, car le trajet en bateau depuis Marseille n’est pas trop cher. Pas mal pour les économes que nous sommes !
L'archipel du Frioul est l'endroit le plus sec de France. C'est vrai qu'il faisait chaud. Et qu'il n'a pas plu. C'est donc vrai ???

Second days : the Frioul islands !
They are located next to Marseilles city. I was surprised, because the price of the boat was not very expensive ! Cool !
The Frioul islands' group is said to be the driest place in France. I have to tell that it was hot, and that it didn't rain. Is it enough to conclude it's true ?

L’île est très belle. Néanmoins, ce que j’ai trouvé bizarre, c’est que certains endroits paraissent à l’abandon, comme si l’île avait été désertée en catastrophe.
The island is beautiful. Nevertheless, there were something strange. I had the feeling that some places had been suddenly abandoned, like in some pictures below.

Et voilà ! Ainsi s'est achevé ce charmant week-end, narré avec pas moins de deux mois de retard ! Et j'ai encore pas mal de choses à partager !

Over the rainbow : interprétation de Israel Kamakawiwoʻole
Mon dernier coup de cœur musical est la chanson "over the rainbow" reprise par le chanteur hawaïen Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. Je ne suis pas fan des reprises à la base, mais toute règle a son exception !
L'interprétation de ce chanteur m'émeut, et j'ai une faiblesse particulière pour cette atmosphère propre aux îles que j'adore : les couleurs, les sourires, la chaleur des gens, l'ambiance tropicale, la nonchalance, l'eau...
C'est ce genre de vidéo qui me rend nostalgique des quelques mois où j'ai vécu à la Réunion. Le rythme de vie de cet endroit et l'état d'esprit découverte et aventure que j'avais à ce moment-là me manquent... J'emmenais d'ailleurs mon appareil photo partout, même au travail (j'étais allée dans les toilettes juste pour photographier un bébé margouillat trop mignon).

Today I would like to talk about the last song I fell in love with : "over the rainbow" sang by the Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. Usually I don't like cover versions, but every rule has its exception !
I love the way the singer performs the song, and
of course, the fact that the video has been shot on an island makes me like it even more ! I love the atmosphere so particular to islands : colours, smiles, the people's warmth, nonchalance, water, the tropical weather...
When I watch this kind of video, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic about the few months I've been living on the Réunion island. I miss the way of life and the state of mind of this place, as well as the permanent discoveries and adventures... I took my camera everywhere I went, even at work, where I once brought it to the toilets in order to shot a "so-cute-baby-gecko"...
